BBTC MENA 2017 HIGHLIGHTS
BBTC MENA 2017 – Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference took place on 4−5 December in the Four Seasons Hotel, Bahrain.
The conference took place under the Patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, with the support of the National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA) and Bapco as Principal Sponsor.
The conference was kindly sponsored by ExxonMobil, Grace and Advanced Refining Technologies (ART).
International Maritime Organisation’s MARPOL VI was the dominating subject for discussion during the event. An expert panel consisting of Bapco, Bechtel, GTC Technology, Honeywell UOP, Nexant, Shell Global Solutions and Wood discussed what the implications, consequences and possible solutions are for the refining industry.
We had the privilege to hear from many of the major producers in the region – with updates on their strategies and key projects from Bapco, Duqm Refinery, Saudi Aramco, Satorp and Adnoc Refining Research Centre.
