Energy Transition in Action: Assessing and Decreasing the Carbon Footprint of Downstream Assets

Monday, 19th February 2024, 09:00–12:00 CET

Energy transition has been a topic of conversation for many years. With more and more decarbonisation commitments being set, the focus needs to shift to action. How do we drive this transition by defining your next steps to maximise benefits and accelerate your impact?

In this seminar, Wood’s experts will discuss practical solutions to decrease the carbon footprint of existing assets:

  • Creating and delivering roadmaps for carbon reduction
  • Applying digital solutions
  • Low carbon hydrogen and sustainable fuels
  • Partnering with technologies for energy transition
assessing carbon footprint

Pioneering Future Energy While Powering Customer Evolution

Monday, 19th February 2024, 13:00–16:00 CET

Honeywell UOP Logo

Energy is central to the European Union's transition towards climate neutrality by 2050, in line with the European Green Deal. As the biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union (EU), the energy sector is undergoing a profound transformation to a net-zero economy. Honeywell is actively helping its customers meet the needs of the transition with a range of ready-now solutions to support the sustainable energy market, including:

  • Expanding Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) availability: Honeywell's solutions include a range of feedstocks to meet the rapidly growing demand for renewable fuels such as SAF. Honeywell's portfolio includes Ecofining™, Ethanol-to-Jet, and UOP eFining
  • Scaling carbon capture and hydrogen: Honeywell boasts over 1,100 H2 purification installations worldwide. Retrofitting existing hydrogen production with carbon capture is a comercially proven step toward carbon neutrality. Hear how Honeywell UOP is working on the world's largest blue hydrogen plant (XOM Baytown) to capture 98% of the CO2 produced for CCS. This plant will sequester seven million t/y of CO2
  • Expanding the use of green hydrogen: Honeywell's Catalyst-Coated Membrane (CCMs) technology helps electrolyser OEMs scale green hydrogen production by reducing production costs
  • Tackling emissions: Methane is about 27-30 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Honeywell has outcome-based offerings enabled by enterprise emissions management software-as-a-service, fixed and portable connected gas detectors (Signal Scout), Rebellion gas visualisation cameras, Flare Gas Recovery Systems, and the Emissions 360 services program
accelerating energy transition

Join Honeywell UOP and walk through the short and long-term opportunities they are seeing for energy producers to help meet their net zero commitments.
