I am delighted to announce that Unipetrol will support this year’s IDW 2018 – International Downstream Week - to be held in Prague on 22-25 May 2018, as official co-host.

IDW 2018 incorporates the IDTC – International Downstream Technology & Strategy Conference and BBTC – International Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference and will gather more than 200 high-level international and regional industry professionals to discuss the future of oil refining and petrochemical industries.

The conference will provide an excellent platform for productive discussions and exchange with renowned international downstream experts, as well as interesting technical papers on the latest innovations in the industry in the beautiful and elegant atmosphere of the City of Prague. In the current challenging times for European refiners and petrochemical producers, we believe open dialogue, implementing innovations, constant strive for continuous improvement and supporting prospective ideas and young talent are among the key factors to help our industry become more resilient to change. We pride ourselves in being industry pioneers in innovations and products that improve people’s lives every day and we are working hard to modernize, develop and improve all our operations. A huge step will be the completion of the new polyethylene unit PE3 project which will in a major way modernize our production and improve project portfolio allowing us to respond to the trend of growing petrochemical demand.
